Our big adventure to Russia was canned this year, because the missus couldnt get a month off.
So we hummed and ha'd and decided to go on a cruise
Two weeks in the western med with P&O in October,

Has anyone ever cruised, whats it like ?

      Why not just try?

But I'm also interested if it's any good for anyone young and with a family.
They do seem to try hard at entertaining you...

I'd have put you last on the list of anyone I've ever met, who would be likely to go on a cruise

You like the open road. How will you cope being stuck on a ship for the whole time, going only where you are told to?

Dunno about cruising but I hung around a cottage in the next village for ages, got no action. Came home in the end.

PS Of few people i Know who've been on cruises half would not go again. Colossally expensive bars, stuck with people you may not like.

PPS I did go on the migrant cruise ship to Australia once, lots of fights and a stabbing. Great.

+ 1. You could get a 1st class InterRail pass. If you can cope with lugging your bags around.

I know. It will be a test of the old endurance. There is no interweb, so it will be board games, the ipad , booze etc

did you ever go on one CM?

I gave you plenty of action. You just didn't come round from the chloroform.

No. I've never actually been on one.

For one thing, I'm sure I'd go insane. And for another, I'm terrified of drowning, it's my biggest fear. Even though I sailed when I was younger, suddenly when I got to about 20, the fear hit me

Went on a Royal Caribbean cruise, 14 days long.

Mostly fat old septics and some Brits.

All the Brits did was moan and whinge about everything. All the yanks did was eat.

I found it very dull indeed. Gambling and drinking at the casino was the only good bit.

Won't be going on another cruise until I'm at least 60 years old. Even then I'd feel young.
