The UK's credit rating has been cut by the Dagong rating agency of China.

The agency blamed the UK's sluggish growth, which it said would be stuck in the 1.3%-1.5% range for two more years, hurting government finances.

What was it you said to me? What would you know about it or something.

Would this be the same China with trillions of $$$$ surplus cash in vaults and 1000's of tonnes of gold bars and all the rare earth elements tucked away?

Stick to assembler and leave financial matters to experts like myself.

He might have a point. Ethnic, religious and political tensions are brewing away under the surface in China and could send a lot of faeces to connect with ventilators within the next few years.

Chinese army will just shoot them all. They have a billion people, if they have to murder a million or so demonstrators, so be it.

Western agencies rated the nice CDOs AAA, and since UK has same credit quality it seems ok.

Churchill has a point. China's artificial pegging of their currency to the dollar is what gives them their giant trade surplus. Remove that and we'll see where they level out.

They have not converted most of the dollars etc. they have earned into their own currency, they have bought goverment bonds with in the USA and Europe. If they dump all the $ bonds they hold the $ would crash. Same for the Euro.

China are holding all the cards at the moment.

Don't think that the Chinese people are going to remain subservient to their Politburo forever.

Maybe they'll want democracy sooner rather than later.
