Anyone on here got any phobias they'd like to 'fess up to?

Maybe a fear of spiders or flying.

I'm moderately emetophobic which means I have a strong aversion to vomiting.

Weird but then again so are all phobias.

Not one of my own phobias but I always like the opportunity to break out hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia or the fear of long words

I've got a phobia of seeing people vomit :puke:

Had it since I was a kid and it's no easier now. If someone near me chucks up, I run :eek

Also had a fear of flying when I was a teenager and into my 20's and just would not do it.

An 18 month contract in Bristol put paid to that though :o

Yes, that and worse still, the fear of vomiting oneself.

Spiders. I'm 6'3" and 18.5 stones, but a big black spider makes me squeal like a little girl and turn into a gibbering wreck.

Claustrophobia here. It's got much worse as I've got older as well. I hate anything where my movement is constricted. I always feel like I'm going to have a panic attack but never do.

It would be better if it was spiders XOR flying. Then if you had to fly, you could simply bring a spider.

Actually, practically everyone is scared of heights or big hairy spiders. How about some crazy, irrational fears, like fear of marmalade?!

I have a fear of those Dyson hand dryers you find in toilets these days. It scares me in same way it does when I try and prise a bit of burnt toast out of my Dualit with a knife. do I really want my wet hands so close to an electrical device?

Maybe you should write to them about your concerns, just in-case they didn't think about that when they designed the hand dryer with the entirely plastic casing.

Good point well made nobby.

Wonder why they feel the need to put this in the manual then?

CAUTION: Risk of electric shock! If casing is removed or handled improperly the internal components
of the Dyson Airblade TM hand dryer may cause harm

Being buried alive and spiders

Spiders no problem, but buried alive or stuck in a confined space do my head in.

As I get older I'm not keen on being stuck in the back of a cramped 2 door car.
