1. Hughes favourite to take over at Villa

2. Villa told Foolham they weren't interested in Hughes. *****

3. Hughes resigns "As a young, ambitious manager I wish to move on to further my experiences," he said.

**** here's where bets should have been placed - still good odds tho if you are quick....

If I am wrong I will bare my arse on Bolton Town Hall Steps, thought to be fair I've done it before as have most of Bolton on a Saturday night...

Does this mean that Houllier failed the medical allowing Villa to sack him or did he resign?
