    Streetfighting man

    Was listening to this earlier.

What are the odds of a revolution in the UK, violent or otherwise? Is the populace too occupied with the X Factor to really give a tulip or could they get it together to rise up and fight the injustices of late stage capitalism, overthrowing the oligarchy and dangling the likes of Blair by his genitals from a lamppost?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

And why exactly would we rise up?
What happens in General, stays in General.
You know what they say about assumptions!

"We" wouldn't, but might there be a threat to our current way of life from the great unwashed?

But will they ever be? Something that has struck me about Britain is that whenever things seem like they might boil over the people running the show seem to do just enough to avoid it happening. I don't know if that is something to be proud of or a bit of a curse that ultimately holds us back.

Plenty of laws against that kind of thing and Britains modern Police force is well trained to handle civil unrest*.

Some might say that this is all they've been trained for...

*They can do **** all else but if there's a riot to quell they're your boys and girls.

A curse that ultimately holds us back from what?

What would these people rise up against - democracy?
