, but the bouy is part of the mooring.
The mooring bouy and pick up bouy are attached to the mainline, chain and mooring block. If you are renting, they should be serviced annualy and the block, rope, chains and shackles checked and replaced as required. Ask to see evidence of servicing before you tie your boat to it
