I don't see why they needed to sack him. Having a pot noodle while driving the train is perfectly reasonable. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

That's a good reason to strike. Unions and their reps are there to stand up for workers rights. (I personally know someone who was paid off due to his union activities and this company was locking fire exits.)
Even though we are contractors some of the laws around to protect us i.e. Health and safety wouldn't be around without unions.
While Bob Crow is a Marxist f*****r unfortunately some of what he has said previously about TFL and London Underground i.e. over the tube maintence contracts was true.
Oh and teachers are striking as well on 30th June. The government must be really pissing people off if a teaching union that has never striked in it's history is striking."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Teachers strike are different, they are striking because the regulations are affecting ALL teachers across the country (workign for the government) not just because one teacher was sacked unfairly!!!!Comment

Originally posted by zamzummim View PostI totally agree the matter should be resolved and the union should stand up for the employees, but why do they have to punish all London commuters, that is really abusing their power, how many nurses and doctors are fired unfairly? They all have to resolve it using unions and court, they wont go on strike and punish patients!!
While they both have unions they also have a professional body. If the professional body says they can't work they can't work.
Oh and nurses have also been on strike in the past."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
