UK service sector sees biggest fall for 15 months

It's the weather's fault!! Perhaps it is the wrong sort of sun.

BBC News - UK service sector sees biggest fall for 15 months

UK service sector output saw its biggest fall in 15 months in April, but the Office for National Statistics said the figures had been affected by the royal wedding and hot weather.

ONS figures showed that service sector output contracted by 1.2% during April.

But the ONS said April was "unusual" due to the extra public holiday for the royal wedding, and the warmest weather for the month since records began.

Tricky stuff weather, anyone remember this news?

The crucial services sector suffered its first fall in activity in 20 months last month as heavy snowfall and the coldest December temperatures since at least 1910 hit businesses

Isn't the service sector mostly help lines and customer support ?

I thought Bobs and Eastern Europeans are doing all that now.

Good for UK businesses to outsource everything, we were told - Keeps costs down.

Looks like India is also having just a spot of trouble Indian services growth slides to 20-month low

If you call a spot of trouble amazing growth but just not as fast as previously.
