Where is the wind? Six per cent drop in power from UK wind farms after lowest wind speeds this CENTURY | Mail Online

A six per cent drop in the amount of electricity produced by Britain's onshore wind farms is being blamed on the calmest year of the century, government figures show.

Onshore wind produced 1.9 per cent of all electricity in 2010 compared with 2 per cent the year before, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) said.

Can we blame cars for this? And then tax them some more?

And yet the wind seems to have been relentless around here this year until last month.

I blame politicians. I think we should tax them more.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Read this a while ago on New Scientist or summit, it's to do with unusually low sunspot activity. Notjhing that can't be fixed by sending a few million nuclear missiles into it.

            Pffffft

There is no way an object millions of miles away could have that much, if ANY, effect on the climate

I blame the lack of wind in the reduction in the number of prop driven aircraft, tax the evil jets out of the sky!

Indeed, the latest climate report says that the extra few PPM of a mild greenhouse gas has 10x the effect of the sun could ever have on our climate.
