I just find this so sad. The root cause has been that Labour encouraged benefits culture and created a generation of zombies who will vote Labour even if blindfolded as long as they got dole money.

What is the point in jailing this woman when millions more engage in fraudulent benefits activity throughout the UK ?

Well, I was going to disagree with you until I read the actual report which said

Which in truth, doesn't really show a systematic fraud. So I agree with you. Seems stupid in this case.

It may not be fraud over a prolonged period, but still fraud. Money SHE WASNT entitled to, no matter whether it's done once or throughout a lifetime. Once a thief, always a thief ...


What I get worried over is newspaper articles about it. Gives chavs ideas! Remember at the start of 2011, that mother inventing extra kids for welfare? Same thing again in the papers this week.
