    Here's what I really think ...

The world is full of idiots.
Most are greedy feckers who don't have the gumption to realise that material goods mean very little. We are little specks of dust who don't matter. What makes our lives worth living are the people we relate with.
Yes I know, corny crap. Nevertheless true. Or maybe it's an incipient mid-lefe crisis. Or the beer.

Anyway I'm off to find some porn. That'll cheer me up.
    Hard Brexit now!

    Dust in the wind, dude.

    Here's my philosophy:

Money doesn't buy you happiness. But it sure helps take the edge off the misery.

That sounds like a great life to me. It's sucky work that spoils it.

          Hundreds of stupid flies gather
On a piece of rotten meat,
Enjoying, they think, a delicious feast.
This image fits with the song
Of the myriads of foolish living beings
          Who seek happiness in superficial pleasures;
          In countless ways they try,
Yet I have never seen them satisfied.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Why do you say that 'most are greedy feckers'? have you bought into the NL idea that you should be ashamed of doing well in life and should be ashamed of having money? Certainly the relationships you have with those you love mean more to most people than anything else but it shouldn't be all that matters and I am damned if I will start thinking of myself as a speck of dust - I am very important to me thank you very much

A mild blip in my thinking, caused by the ingestion of a few pints in the City on Friday evening and lsitening to the endless loud braying of bond salesmen. They really are a revolting species.

                    We were talking
about the space between us all
                    and people who hide themselves
                    behind a wall of illusion
                    never glimpse the truth
                    then it's far too late
                    when they pass away

A life time is so short
A new one can't be bought
But what you've got means such a lot to me
                    Make love all day long
                    Make love singing songs

                    There's people standing round
Who'll screw you in the ground
They'll fill you in with all their sins, you'll see
