    Big-hearted Gesture

The Real Star of last night’s Show….And It’s wasn't Henrik!
    By Fanzone

Charity Gesture Typical of John Kennedy

It’s easy to get caught up in the hype surrounding last night’s "Legends" match at Celtic Park when you look at the people taking part.

Celebrities like Gerard Butler, Patrick Kielty, Angus Deayton, great ‘sportsmen’ like former boxers Nigel Benn, Steve Collins and Ricky Hatton, Olympic runner Darren Campbell and Westlife singer Nicky Byrne all took part.

Add to those non footballing people legends Chris Sutton, manager Neil Lennon, the one and only Lubo Moravcik, Roy Keane, Ole Gunner Solsjkaer, Brian McClair and of course the King of Kings Henrik Larsson!

But the real hero of the hour was John Kennedy.

Let’s not forget that last nights game was a benefit match for former Celtic defender John Kennedy who’s promising career was cut short after a horrific tackle playing for Scotland.
This was a young man who only had a fleeting opportunity to play at the highest level. Not a multi-millionaire it should be added.

However, the fact that John chose to donate his share of proceedings to the East Africa Famine Appeal should come as no surprise. John is steeped in the history of Celtic Football Club, a Club born out of a Charitable foundation. He’s Celtic through and through.

And he know what it means to the Celtic Family to do the right thing.

Last night the Celtic Family turned out in large numbers to show their appreciation of John Kennedy and his gesture.

A crowd of 54,000 showed up to see Celtic beat Man Utd 5-2 in a match where the result was meaningless from a footballing perspective, but oh so very important from the angle of altruism.

“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”

Well done to JK, he's taking his coaching badges isn't he?
"I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith

So I believe. Good luck to him.

I do believe Man U are an English team cockrocket.

Never mind. Cheer yourself up by getting your lawnmower out and playing with your carburettor you dreary fookwit!

One day a lawnmower, the next a hayabusa.
