I know it's probably a number of things / all of those things, but I want to know what you think had the MOST influence.

For me, it's the growing culture of chavs and gangs, and how it's become acceptable, even applauded, to be dumb and carefree and not work.

Obviously that then sets some of the other causes in motion e.g. remove benefits that they have become so used to and there's trouble.

Got to be the gang culture

As a white lad growing up in east london in the late 80's and early 90's I experienced it first hand.

It was seen to be cool to act like a 'gangsta' and the jamacian 'bad boy' culture was looked up to. If you walked with a 'swagger' and had a 'jamacian accent' you were cool.

This is the result of that mindset 20 years on, combined with the increase in consumerisim and lack of hands on prevention and discipline.

Some negro, some asian, some caucasian, some muslims, some christians, some atheists, some agnostics...

All with one thing in common, they're thieving scum.
