    0845 numbers

Anyone have one or know a decent service in providing one?

Basically to provide a sales line which will forward onto a mobile.

Looked at UK2numbers but I don't know if they are resonable or not.

    Cheers

There are loads on the net and you can do a fairly quick comparison with a quick google of 'free 0845 numbers'.

The problem arises with the divert to mobile, which can work out quite expensive.

Nearly fell off my seat when I seen the cost for that.

Assuming the number would eventually get onto some list and you would be getting sales calls on it (quickly told to f off) the numbers could stack up.

Probably just run an answer message off it and call back.

Yup, I stopped using an 0845 just for that reason.

Depending on your 'product' and what type of 'sales calls' you receive, just go 0898 with all the rest of them

i used these on a website i had and they seemed fairly good, never had any issues you can set the time and the days the calls can come through or go to answer phone and the divert to mobile worked well, and when i no longer needed the number i just cancelled with no hassle.

Although i suppose it depends on how many calls your getting whether its cost effective

Why not just get a Skype online number? If you've got a smartphone, drop the app on it, answer when connected to Wifi, if not let them leave a message and call back.

I think you can divert calls to VM, but if you've not got a subscription you pay about 1.5p a minute. Free with a subscription, but I don't know if the forwarded call comes out of your bundle, lowest cost is £7 a month (UK landline and mobile 60 mins).

Don't forget 0845 number fall outside most peoples inclusive call packages so your customers end up paying more to call you. Really hacks me off when agents publish 0845 contact numbers.
