    Cryptic Crossword Clue

    In last month's Mendip Times...

    Q: The colour of halcyon days?
    A: kingfisher blue.

    I normally look at the answer and go Ahhh, yes. Of course.

    Have to admit that this one went right over my head.

    Halcyon Days

    Halcyon is a name for a bird of Greek legend which is commonly associated with the kingfisher.
