    A little possible good news

My old boss just phoned; I've done freelance work for him before and now he's called again and wants to chat about a project on Monday. Hmm, that cheers me up a bit!

Yep, hope for the best; good job I kept a good relationship with the old geezer when I left to go freelance.

            My first boss told me

"Don't tulip on people on the way up as you might need them on the way back down"

I am not implying anything about being on the way back down btw, just quoting my first boss.

He's right, and it shows up the idea of 'be an asshole and you'll earn more' as short termist and naïve. When business is a struggle it can be very helpful knowing people who like you.

Be an asshole and you'll be an asshole. You might earn more but you can't buy friends, at least not the ones worth having.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
