    Would you ever go back?

Just had a call from a pimp asking would I consider going back to a former place of work, I was permie last time but this time it would be contract.

Like ex girlfriends is it ever a good idea to go back?

If you're going back to somewhere you used to be perm, but at decent contract rates, then what's the problem ?

If an ex g/f called you and asked you to f**k her for more money, would you say no ?

      Yes, sometimes.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I'd do it. It'd be a laugh. I nearly did it this summer, but the most senior guy in the authorisation food chain , who I had at one time made look like the idiot he is, remembered me and declined to authorise the PO.

Worked out ok, as I didn't really have the time to do the work, and only agreed to do it, because the project manager asked me, as a favour. He was bloody furious with the senior muppet.

As others say, depends why you left. In the last 15 years I've been at bigbank clientco 7 times. Different departmens most times, but many companies like that idea that you hit the ground already familiar with processes and people.

My favourite was being asked back to run a project to get rid of a previous ar5e of a boss and his department. I'd have done that one for free

Of course, I would definitely go back for a decent daily rate. I have done that before. Strangely I was respected much more as a “highly paid” contractor than a permie, even though I was not much smarter or experienced just a year out of the permie position.
My mind has gone blank. I wonder if it was always that way.

According to the girl who serves in my local pub, you never go back once you've gone black.
