    Getting onto google top 10

    Friend of mine wants to get his site into the top 10 in his 'category' - how would you go about something like this, without spending any money (Or minimal amounts)?

    It's more about how many sites link to you, and how much competition. If your friends site is a porn site he would have a pretty hard time. Making posts (which will get converted to HTML by things such as Google Groups) and getting other pages to link to you is what its all about.
