    Sausages

Does anyone know why sausages are bent in the middle ? It makes them hard to cook, especially the big fat ones.

Theres nothing worse than finding a bit of pink in the middle

It's when theyre purple at one end that you want to watch out for

"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "

It's to do with the curvature of the animal intestines used as casings I imagine.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Maybe its torsion caused by wrapping the skin clockwise at one end and anticlockwise at the other.

Next time insist on clockwise at both ends, or anticlockwise if your butcher prefers.

And why can't the sausage making machine cut the sausage skin that joins sausages?

Uneven surface tension as the sausage mixture is extruded. Possibly influenced by gravity during the filling process.

I am not entirely happy with the notion that my foodstuffs have been 'extruded'
