    Go - No Go

Been flat out getting a new product ready for deployment into UAT today. This date has been aimed at for months and in the last week I've backed the wife & family off to her parents, worked the weekend, bank holiday, up until midnight (with another two chaps) to hit the target. We got put behind when we lost DEV for three days last week and infrastructure couldn't repair it.

So we moved to developing on UAT and it's been tight. The perm member of staff has been class. The contractor has made a few mistakes but has worked late to bring it back.

Up at 7am this morning to put it to bed.

2pm. UAT still unoperational. Been down all day and infrastructure cannot repair it. So thats no dev, no UAT.

Go - No Go at 3pm.

I hate not delivering on time especially after all the extra work.

On the plus side. That's 8 days to invoice for this week.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

I once found the Holy Grail too. Invoiced 90 hours in one week. Never did like daily rates.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

The head of infrastructure could be knobbing the CEO for all you know. Tread careful lad.

As a 'tractor, is it your place to kick ass (I spelt it wrong just for you)?

I recall going postal at a very lax infrastructure department once. I got no support from management and was the villain.
