Would the world be a better place after a flu pandemic?

..that killed off say 50% of people, perhaps mainly the poor, sick and elderly. Not one that kills mostly men in the prime of life who just happen to be at war, which has nothing to do with it if you believe that story.

Would you take a 50% chance of dying to live in a less populated Earth? The poor, sick and elderly need not reply.

    No.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Better to randomly kill off 50% of the population and rid the world of all the unlucky people.

The survivors would then make a fotune forex trading.

I guess it depends on whether you are poor, sick or elderly...

Yes. Kill anyone with an IQ under a ton that is also not under 10.

Have the vaccine available to anyone, but package in something that requires intelligence to open. E.g. 10 seconds to open a 100% plastic blister pack before the content spoils.

Reducing the population in some parts of the world would be an advantage. In other places there is already a problem with under population.

Catastrophic events cause harm to the economy as it did when the UK had plagues when the population level almost dropped to non subsistence levels. Properties and farms get deserted, professional people die and skills are lost.

You just need to go to Eastern Europe to see what damage under population has done.

My understanding is that the plague improved living conditions of the surviving poor considerably and that later generations owe a great debt to those who died.

Masses and masses of bodies to dispose of. Masses and masses of empty houses would crash the housing market. Masses of businesses would go bankrupt.
