UK internet out of action? (or bits of it anyway)

Last Friday afternoon I suddenly couldn't access various UK internet sites from the mainland, and that seems to be happening again today.

This time however, I can see CUK and The Regist's main site, but not The Telegraph, Independent or various other .uk sites.

And the Guardian's web site is coming up in text only.

A search on El Reg gives me the following links from Friday, none of which I can currently access.

ASA probes Microsoft cloud reliability claims ? Channel Register
Office 365, Hotmail and SkyDrive hit by outage ? Channel Register

    Anyone else having problems?

P.S. Note that I am in Europe.
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

Not noticed problems such as above, but CUK is slow today.

Seems OK here. More likely to be whatever proxy or ISP you connect via.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Old age comes to us all eventually.

Sorry I switched the internet off yesterday.
<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!

It's alright. I don't need it until Monday now.
