Wines from India do not affect the market significantly and the UK is not the main market.

There are various ways to run a vineyard:

    1. Rent one. Rent is payable one month after harvest.
    2. Buy one and rent it out.
    3. Buy one and sell the grapes to a winery.
    4. Buy one and bottle it yourself. There a loads for sale.

One thousand square metres should produce between 1 to 4 tonnes of grapes. 1kg of grapes makes one 75cl bottle of wine. All wine making is taxed during the making.

Lets flood India with cheap Euro wines!

Oh I forgot, India can trade here barrier free, but India has trade barriers against almost all forms of foreign competition. Silly me.

Thanks to our governments over the last 15 years.

Wine's a bit of a special case. The duty/licensing laws in India are a minefield.
