    The stupid German leadership ...

... Merkel and Schauble, self-righteous in their provincial mindset, are going to drive the world into a depression if they don't do what's necessary - proclaim that the Euro will be saved at all costs, quadruple the Euro bailout fund to the 2 trillion needed and basically start being proactive rather than reactive.

    Hard Brexit now!

If the world wanted to be saved, everyone would chip in. Why do the Germans have to try to conquer Europe single handedly again?

Yes, but I suspect they fear that if the bailout fund were increased to 2 trillion, the next day there'd be lots of 'analysts' telling the press 'it isn't nearly enough; it should be at least 1 quadrillion euros'.

The Germans and French created this mess by creating a currency that was unfit for purpose. France can't fix it.

Indeed. Nothing is ever enough for spongers, especially while holding the spongees to ransom.

If the spongers are not saved, the spongees will have no-one to sell their manufactured goods to, and will quickly descend to the level of spongees.

So if the Indian government were to contribute to a G20 fund, would that be called Spongebob?

Although Spongebobs would be Indians taking money out of a G20 fund.

Which is why it would have been sensible to admit defeat months ago and just plan for an orderly return to individual currencies
