    Charities and racism

Working in central London I get to see beggars and people rattling jugs trying to raise money for charity.

I usually fork out according to the person holding the bucket.

So I always give money to totty, little old ladies, little old men and handicapped. but they are always white, or there are others in their group dangling their receptacles who are white.
when I see African Asian people trying to raise money I always presume that it is for some dodgy religious sect that practices female circumcision and enriches Billy Graham style con men. Is this fair, or de we have prejudices built in that form legitimate levels of protection?

Having said that if the charity is well known like Cancer relief, Macmillan trust, save the children then I ignore the colour of their skin.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

I give a fiver every time I see the RNLI.

After having used them in anger a few years ago I'm happy to do so.

          Dodgy, my friend

In this day and age it's important to be seen to fair to all races, creeds, genders, ages and political persuasions. The handicapped, the rich , the poor, the thick and the clever. The strong the weak, the tall and the short. The fat, the thin, the ugly and the pretty.

It is clear therefore, that the correct response is to tell them all to fck right off

              Good girl!

My Mother arranged for my Father's ashes to be scattered at sea by the RNLI.

If you have had cause to use their services, then I expect a single substantial donation would be the order of the day

Anyone know what those people who want to talk to you are up to? I always say no thanks, but am curious to know about the gambit. Anyone seen them?

It's usually normal looking young people standing in the street (young women usually), holding a clip board. They greet you pleasantly and try to spark up conversation. I assume they want my money at the end of the day and say no thanks.

Maybe I'll just have to talk to one and then say no.
