Are the Tories about to self destruct?

First Liam Fox and now this: BBC News - Oliver Letwin dumps documents in park bins

He was photographed by the Daily Mirror disposing of private letters and government papers over five days.

The paper claims more than 100 were thrown away including correspondence on terrorism, national security and constituents' private details.

Mr Letwin acknowledged he sometimes disposed of copies of letters in the park but denied they were "sensitive".
    Whatever next?

hmmm. Presumably the journalist got the stuff out the bin, so either there'll be a revelation in the next few days or it was simply he threw his papers out on the way to work. I do that as well, because I can't be bothered to wrap them carefully for the old paper collection. I'd better watch out for any journalists.

Interestingly the local council could fine Letwin for dumping business items in a public bin.

Wrap them carefully? Why don't you just chuck them in the green recycling bin like everyone else?

I'm no greenie but I also don't have a problem with recycling when it takes no more effort than traditional disposal.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

No Tory party self-destruction is complete until David Willetts is photographed trussed up in a St. Trinian's uniform with Max Mosley sucking Asda Smartprice dog food out of his nostrils through a golden straw.

Yeah, we're due some decent tory sex scandals. Always classier than the likes of Prescott waving his chipolata at his secretary.

I would have thought shred and recycle was standard procedure. If I can do it....

Thats' in Switzerland, you need to tie up your paper in bundles with string, and leave them on the street.

                  What for:

                  1) Starving the economy of any hope of recovery?

                  2) Robbing every family in the land to pay for the gamblers in the city?

                  3) The united kingdom is not feeling so united these days.

                  4) Privatised companies (utilities / rail) under Tory governments are making a killing exploiting with no alternative.

In Germany we've got a big paper bin where no crunched paper is permitted. Collected every week from the back of the house.
