Won't happen as Scotland has a veto and the Scottish government is opposed.

I remember the trial in the sixties, going to school in the dark was not fun.

As the said, if we dont win the battle, we will win the war.

The germans never gave up and the situation needs rectifying permantely.

If the Government wants increased productivity, shouldn't they be doing the opposite of shifting daylight hours from morning to evening as this silly MP is proposing?

They should shift it the other way, so people rise and get to work earlier. Also getting dark earlier might prompt many to toddle off to bed earlier, thus better preparing themselves for next day's toil.

OH in "early to rise, late to bed, makes a man healthy and wealthy and dead" mode

Brace yourselves. Very early nights are drawing in to a place near you at the weekend.

As if a 5:50pm sunset weren't bad enough, it's going to be changed to 4:38pm as from Monday and then it's to steadily worsen by natural means until bottoming out in the depths of darkness on 13th December, when sun sets just after lunch time, at 3:51 pm ffs*

Sun rises as late as 8:06 am on 2 Jan.

What do you fancy: Daylight ~ 9:06am to 4:53pm, or 8:06am to 3:51pm, or not bovvered?
