Did any of our Ukelele lovers on here see the BBC4 Programme last night?

It was a tribute to George Formby and the ukelele. Fantastic programme....

    Anyone see it?

I might have recorded it for future viewing.

I was busy watching Elbow on the red button last night.

      A strange way to sit.

I saw the start of it. Nice bit with Frank Skinner doing an ode to Bin Laden on the Uke. I used to hate Ukelele, but I bought an electric one recently, and have been converted.

        Ooh!! What have you bought??

I've just bought a Risa Soprano and love it. Yesterday I bought an acoustic AmPlug and hope it turns up tomorrow.

Can't beat a bit of dueling banjos. I assume the same goes for ukuleles.

Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Is the Ukelele the new cult instrument? These guys are playing here next year (although I hear that there are 2 of these groups,) a friend of mine plays one and is looking at buying an electric one and when I saw the King Blues a couple of weeks back, the leader singer also played one for a few numbers and it sounded pretty impressive.

Think one guy in Mumford & sons plays one too.

I think they're uber-cool. Shame I was 20 years too early and played mine in front of blue rinses singing about the second world war
