Is it the end of the world ?

There is a big asteroid 1/2 km across that will whizz by us tonight.
It will be visible with a telescope as it passes within the moons orbit

    Bruce Willis is on standby

Just think - if it is all over - then no pension worries - well I dont have a pension so tough for those who do !

There - now I feel much better.

Just think! some night the stars will gleam
      Upon a cold, grey stone,
And trace a name with silver beam,
And lo! 'twill be your own.

That night is speeding on to greet
      Your epitaphic rhyme.
Your life is but a little beat
      Within the heart of Time.

A little gain, a little pain,
      A laugh, lest you may moan;
A little blame, a little fame,
      A star-gleam on a stone.

Were hardly going to hear a whoosh as it goes past now are we?

This 'near miss' is the equivalent of a pea (0.8cm dia) missing your head (25cm dia) by 6.5km

Yep, you'd need to be a princess to feel that!
