I've just had some Arabic coffee

And some dates and a little biscuity thing.

As brought in by some esteemed customers.

    Should my ears be ringing.

Coffee, no, but spiced with cardomon & stuff.

      Dates, yes.

        in the Gareth Hunt sense.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

          Curiously, the beans aren't roasted.

Apparently there's no phrase in Arabic for coffee with no sugar, only coffee with extra sugar.

I bought some strong Arabic beans once and did a normal sized brew in my coffee filter thingy.

            Once.

After the second mugful I was as high as a kite.

There's a reason this stuff is normally served in small cups, and with a glass of water.

Went to to the pub in the hope that several beers would act as an antidote, but they didn't really.

Couldn't really sleep that night either.

This stuff wasn't sugared at all.

That's (apparently) what the dates & biscuity thing are for.
