    Lean

    Client is implementing 'Lean Principles'.

Getting your permies to work harder whilst eliminating waste is not going to be conducive with having a contractor on the team.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Do they have a 'lean six sigma black belt' going around with a clipboard?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

You mean the Lean Commodore? He arrives next week, 'Seaman' training this afternoon.

I did all this 20 years ago when I was in aerospace, back then it was called 'kaizan'.

Lean Commodore? (spoken in the style of John Cleese saying 'pining for the fjords')

We did indeed, a man who had very competently managed to take a profitable business and turn it into a loss.

In the end we did a industrial warning tape mark around where the financial controllers feet should be. Did his stapler as well. He saw sense and relaxed, he also told the clipboard numpty to get a life.

It was driven by our manufacturing 'Centre of ignorance'.

A better set of projects they should have concentrated on :
Why is it bad to mount a bench grinder on a plastic storage box?
Why a table sheet metal router shouldn't be in a walkway.
Why not order the stuff so its delivered before you need to build something.
Why does your MRP system not know what parts you need (clue you have to feed it forecasts)
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
