Software Training Holiday - Boot Camp

Has anyone ever taken a period of time off and buggered off to another country on a 'Training' Holiday.

They used to advertise them in South Africa. Head down for a month do a boot camp/accreditation etc.

Has anyone actually undertaken one of the intensive courses?

No because it would cost several thousands pounds and then you'd lose several thousand pounds in billing. Only permies need "training".

Why not just set fire to a suitcase full of money instead?

If the hookers and drugs are cheaper then I can recoup the difference in a few days.

Anyway. I've had enough of Mammon.

Mate of mine did an 11 day bootcamp to get MS certification. 11 days, up to 16 hours a day - not for the faint hearted (nor, I daresay, the over 35s).

They were doing these MS certification bootcamps in India.

Imagine two weeks in a tiny room with 500 Bobs all learning rote how to pass MCSE or whatever.

Then coming back and finding them all on fast track visas at your place of work.

          That's the future of IT.

                Why the ?

It didn't snow. So I didn't buy any? And so didn't pay for any locations?

You have much to learn about entrepreneurship young Prawn.

It's an uphill struggle. Then a slippery slope. You don't want to end up with frozen stock.
