Should Reaction Engines be given a wodge of cash to build a working space vehicle?

What it says really. Should the government bankroll the development of Skylon or similar? It would certainly create some very good quality jobs and the end result could well be profitable.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Yes, because it's bwilliant and that is more important than any normal political objection.

It's also fairly vital to the survival of fluffy bunnies. Cute though they may be, fluffy bunnies have no chance of deflecting a mass-extinction asteroid. Something environmentalists seem unable to grasp.

Yes, but only if we outsource all the work to India and then give India £5bn in aid as well. We want the lefties to be happy.

Presumably could be funded by a day's printing or so? If so, why not, there may be money in space, it is big after all.

Get the Severn barrage funded too, that's proper inward investment. But we need a crash before we splash cash.

Seeing as the West has moved onto to limitless money printing, can't we have everything we've ever dreamed of now? It's all affordable now. Grow tomatoes on Mars and ship them back to earth. Every house can have a flying car on the drive. Put windmills on the top of Mt. Everest.

I'm surprised the Zimbabweans didn't all fly off in rocket ships to Pluto. They had the money for it.

It's shame we haven't got the brains or gumption to get into thorium reactors too, which could be a game changer.
