Could a snap general election be coming?

Cameron has veto'd one hot potato of a treaty change.
He and Hague gloat all over the media this morning declaring victory for Britain.
Daily Wail readers surprisingly cheerful in the online comments sections.
Nick Clegg nowhere to be seen.
Other news reveals UK sympathy at lowest for unemployed, benefits claimants and general scroungers, and public opinion about raising taxes to pay for other subsidies such as NHS have also dropped through the floor.

Are we close to seeing the Lib Dems being drop-kicked out of government?

You may be right. Ed must be a very worried man at this point.

Cant see it myself, unless there is a grass roots rebellion from one of the parties. Cameron is not likely to give up the one shot at power he will ever get and the Libs know that they are unlikely to get back to the table if they leave now.
I reckon a Labour landslide if there were an election and the Country straight down the pan.
        Just saying like.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

I think hell no, Our Mate Dave will be stupid to do so. The main population that will be happy with the Euro Two Fingers job already voted Tory last time so no change there, however the Labourites that were disollutioned and made the switch last time around will have seen that its even worse under the ConDem Nation and jump back to Labour, even if Milliband is bland as dishwater.

Loads, but they are fairly evenly split politically

It would boil down to the question - do people think all the cuts and so on are a necessary evil, or do they think the Tories are just screwing them over? I don't think they're doing too badly on that score - just as Brown did they can point at how all the other countries are messed up too - but I speak from an educated middle-class viewpoint, have no idea what the working classes think.
