    Where the heck was everyone?

Turned up at the Counting House at 7pm, wandering around like a lost soul from then until 8pm without seeing anyone I recognised from previous years.

Assuming I didn't get the wrong week, next time we'll have to agree a spot to meet within the pub, or else exchange a few mobile numbers beforehand.

Were they not up the back? Doodab said they were up the back.

If you mean the room leading to the side passages outside, I walked through there two or three times.

Not having recognised anyone by 8pm, I assumed I'd turned up a week early, and it's pretty dreary and depressing standing around on one's own in a crowded pub

Thinking about it, the 16th seemed to make more sense as it was nearer Christmas

I hope you didn't try ringing me again. My UK mobile has been swapped for a cloggieland one.

So you didn't recognise, zippy, cojak, bunk or scragmeister???

No, apparently they're holed up in some secret room, and I didn't know which panel in the wall to press to open the disguised door.

There's only a few rooms out the back and one or two upstairs.

Don't know how they got a room, as you have to pay for them.

Sorry we didn't see you. Room was at the back! Probably hidden behind people.

Are you serious? Were you there? There was a CUK sign on the window at the back and cojak posted we were on the club room which was just to the right of the sign!

                    There is always next time.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
