These things happen this time of year, online shopping explodes in the run up to Christmas. A prime example is putting something in your basket when you're told it's available, only to see it's out of stock by the time you reach the checkout

            Isn't that technically theft?

Besides, any system that can't temporary reserve an item while it's in your shopping trolley is beyond tulipe.

The amateurs may moan about people leaving their trolley before getting to the checkout but there's ways of checking if the client has done a runner so you can return the stock to the shelves.

Moral of the story: If a site treats you this way, shop elsewhere and send them an email to say why. They may get in some proper developers to write them a decent system that is ready well before Christmas.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Funny you should say that, I've just finished sending an email to a company explaining why I won't be buying from them again for having accepted my order and stating that the ordered item was in stock only for them them to email me two days later to say their suppliers had let them down.

Their sales might just crash in January though.
