Is 2012 the year when Iran gets a rude awakening?

Ok, Syria is too busy to help Iran, Obama actually needs to do something during his tenure as President, what next?

It will be interesting to see what Obama does in an election year should Israel elect to take out Iranian nuclear facilities & I imagine Israel would have to announce any over flights of warplanes so the Americans don't shoot them down
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Do the US 5th Fleet have a defence against mobile surface to ship missiles, like Iran has been testing the other day?

If not, maybe it's the yanks who would have a rude awakening.

I suppose now that North Korea is not in contention, Iran is the only meaningful red herring for the US politicians.

Iran will be more messy than Iraq and Afganistan combined.

I agree, plus it doesn't take much to stir up other countries in the middle east. The majority are anti-US take places like Egypt that have benefitted hugely from western influence and money they don't even like the yanks

                  Yes, thanks to AEGIS.

Bush Jnr should have dealt with Iran instead of Iraq, make deal with Saddam to backup air power with his ground troups.

Oil would now be $10 per barrel if that happened.

I think the problem with men who start wars is that they don't get enough rude awakenings.
