    I'm not a PC anymore

I went and bought me a Macbook Pro

And I must say, it's fantastic, it's the easiest thing to setup, everything just works, it does everything I want it to and thanks to Parallels I even have my old machine as a VM just in case I find something I can't do that I want to.

Why didn't I do this earlier

Oh, and Happy New Year to everyone, I hope it's a profitable year for you all.

Have you tried Parallels out yet?

To me it's all a bit reminiscent of the OS/2 vs Windows battle of the 90's!
Boot camp - Parallels etc. to get the stuff you really want to use working
I read a Mac magazine recently and the actual article content about Macs and what you can natively do with Macs seemed very very limited.
I seriously want to buy the 27" iMac but stopped pulling the trigger after talking to Apple and the pre-sales failing to convince me it was a good move

Perhaps you could clarify how it "does everything you want"
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Because 99% of productive applications outside of email, browser and an office suite require a PC running MS Windows?

BBC News - Schools kit 'scam could cost schools millions'

Schools across the UK are being charged up to 10 times too much for laptops and other IT equipment through mis-sold lease agreements, a BBC Radio 5 live investigation found.

Thing is, 99% of people spend 99% of their time on a computer doing those things.

I couldn't help him as I'd never used one.

My local comp has iMacs in every class, they're all setup to duel boot and are almost exclusively used with Windows. Tragic waste of money.

Well, it depends. You wouldn't want kids going out into the job market with no idea how to use a Proper Computer would you?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
