BBC News - London bus crashes into Wandsworth Sainsbury's supermarket

A London double decker bus has crashed into the entrance of a busy supermarket in south-west London.

Police were called to reports of a number 28 bus having crashed into a Sainsbury's supermarket on Garratt Lane, in Wandsworth, at 10:45 GMT.

It is thought the bus was also involved in a collision with a road sweeper, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
    Where is sasguru BTW?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I thought he had bought a road sweeper as a component of his "Plan B"

I know that supermarket, it's a straight road, how the flip did they manage that?

Edit: Ok, it's got some gentle bends but still, it's not usually a fast road, too many crossings and bus stops for that.

Also, they say it's normally packed with shoppers, but I think it opens at 11am on a Sunday.

Also shows how flimsy those metal barriers are (unless it went through the gap at the ped xing).

I reckon it had to swerve sharply round an extra large turd

Perhaps the driver has too much Talisker...
