    Twenty Heroes still alive.

1st equal Thatcher - I wont go on any more . Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Burma's opposition - what incredible courage this woman has
    2. Princess Anne - hard working non publicist with balls
    3. The Queen - no better leader to represent the UK and not afraid to break down barriers through humility
    4. Norman Tebbitt- working class tory who believed in the principles of personal responsibility and freedom of the individual
    5. Nelson Mandela - the darling of the left who's real qualities of statesmanship and leadership are the antithesis of most of those who adore him in the west.
    6. Martin O'Neill - Has proved himself time and again to be a fantastic leader and able to succeed on limited resources, will surely take over from Alex Ferguson
7.Jeremy Clarkson - for being a constant irritant to all the "right on" humourless left wing tw*ts who take themselves so seriously.
    8. Boris Johnson - same reason as Jeremy Clarkson but with more sensitivity
    9. Frank Field - A left wing politician who genuinely wants to see the poor become better off, even if it means adopting Tory principles.
    10. Rod Stewart- For being so entertaining to so many for so long,
    11. Mick Jagger - Same reasons as Rod Stewart
    12. Martin Johnson, - an honest and confident leader and winning the world cup
    13. Ian Bell - for fighting so hard despite much criticism and becoming one of the best batsmen in the world
    14. MS Dhoni, a charismatic and generous cricketer.
15 David Gower- A truly talented sportsman with a wonderfully laid back self effacing manner
16 Tony Balir- for being a fantastic politician, getting rid of saddam hussein, which without doubt the "Arab Spring" movement would not have happened, and for pi**ing off so many of the left
    17. David Attenborough- for being so brilliant at bringing the world of nature to everyone's doorsteps
18 Tracy Emin, for being a Tory, unlike the rest of her "entitled" ilk who squeal "socialism" and anti Tory whilst expecting the rich to pour all their money into the arts.
    19. Ian Botham who like Martin Johnson is not embarrassed to be English and who takes obvious joy in beating Australians
20 Desmond Tutu- a great reconciler

It is 21 I know, but I might just drop Blair

What about your own John Major?

Had the sheer guts to stop posturing and start talking.

Many people are alive on both sides of the Irish Sea because of him.

      Unsung hero?

              Yep, John Major.

For the same reason, I would leave Tony Blair in (for now). He risked political suicide too, by making it very clear to the unionistas that the election of a re-styled Social-Democrat Labour party did not signal the opening of the door back to 'the good old days' of Red Robbo etc.

Red Robbo, Arthur Scargill, & co, for bringing Britain's economic problems to a head and thereby prompting Thatcher's victory.

Well if you are going to have a stupid list, add George Galloway for his entertainment value.

If you want a sensible list, scrub 99% of what you have and slip Patrick Moore in there.
