    The rise of the overclass

The rise of the overclass - Telegraph

I believe that the overclass cause a lack of circulation of money and hence depression. Unfortunately there seems to be no way of cutting them down to size any other way.

Good article from the tory graph for once.

It's strange Buffer isn't calling for tax on wealth - he'd be hit pretty hard by it, instead he is calling to reduce tax that encourages long term investment - CGT there is 15% I think on such investments.

The UK had similiar arrangement but sadly fookwit Darling changed what was probably one good policy of Gordon brown.

          interesting reply:

If you wish to destroy a society and replace it by another, more to your liking, you need to create an Enemy of The People.

This enemy you can blame for being rich at the People's expense, accuse it of conspiracies, manipulating the processes and institutions of Society for its own benefit and so get the People to foster hatred for it.

This enemy must then be destroyed and their Society, not the People's, along with it.

Thus do you rally the People to your cause, disconnect them from what is in fact their own Society and they will do your dirty work for you, destroying what exists to be replaced by what you want.

The enemy must be a minority group with a label but no faces, a caricature but not reality, it must be derided, reviled, dehumanised, hated and hounded to destruction just for being itself.

Hitler did it with the Jews, the Bolsheviks with the Aristocrats, Mao with the landowners and intellectuals and nowadays the "Social Democrats" with "the rich".

Social Democrat, Liberal Democrat are cover names for the toxic Socialist brand, and Social Justice the new name for Socialism. Progressive is the process from Socialism to Communism aka Equality and fairness for all in a centrally controlled society where all are equal by diktat... or else Comrade.

But remember: it is not "the rich" who caused the sub-prime crisis in the USA, who sold half of Britain's gold reserves at rock bottom prices, who squandered Britain's tax receipts and piled it up with debt, nor the rich who caused the Eurozone catastrophe, but it is the people who did these things who are doing a good job of creating an Enemy of The People to distract the mindless Masses from the real culprits.

How much money do you need to have these days to be one of the hated rich?

Just so I know what to aim for.

That is absolute bullocks. People are sick to death of tax payers' money subsidising institutions such as banks and the bonuses being paid by the tax payers. People are also sick of politicians making decisions that favour corporations that will make them directors once they have left parliament. Just look at Tony Blair.

                  Agreed.

One might argue if the rich never created the institutions that allowed the less well off to bad choices in the first place...
