    anyone boycotting godaddy ?

    i think i'll transfer my domains and hosting away from them at renewal time anyone recommend alternative hosting providers?

    What are we supposed to be boycotting them for? I think anything which is promoted by a FaceBook campaign is inherently non-credible.

      They supported SOPA. Then they said they were no longer supporting SOPA, but it turned out they secretly were.

        Seriously, FaceBook campaigns are just a way for would-be social activists to feel important without actually having to do anything other than click "like".

            It's a bad law. I'm not saying IP shouldn't be protected, but SOPA/RIPA are not the way to do it.

            We can presumably all agree that burglary is a bad thing. That doesn't mean that, if someone is suspected of being a burglar, it should be permissible to burn down every house in the street where they live without having to prove anything or hold any kind of trial, ignoring the fact that their neighbours had nothing to do with it. But that's the kind of power SOPA/RIPA give to rights owners.
