BBC Sport - Pakistan v England: Ian Bell passed fit for third Test

Phew - the man that is averaging 8 so far this series is fit to play in the final test.

    That should save the series

When does the 3rd test start? How many tests are there? As we are 2-0 down do we have any chance?

The series is gone but all test matches are important, this one for two extra reasons:

Firstly, if we avoid defeat we are guaranteed to remain Number 1 test team on 31st March, which attracts a significant chunk of prize money.

Secondly, this series is gone, but we have two more series later this year in similar conditions, in Sri Lanka and India, so it's a training opportunity to try and improve for those.

No. If we draw then we'd be second still if SA win 3-0.

The margin is something like 0.4 points if we draw and they win 3-0.

So we need a win to guarantee the cash on April 1st.

Aha, thanks. I wondered that after posting.

England need to attack Saeed Ajmal. I know he is deceptive but someone has to read and hit him out of the park. Otherwise, even a draw is a distant possibility.
