    The Falklands...

Kicking off again, I don't have any idea how to solve it but I feel sure a war and killing people isn't the answer. For me a bit of a no-answer situation, we've had the Falks for yonks, since before Argentina existed, so they can fook right off, but really, it's a crappy bit of land too far away.

Can't give in, so what's the answer?

    Sink one of their battleships?

Don't worry about Argentina, worry about Iran.

Someone once said something similar of Hong Kong.

We will lightly defend it in the hope Argentina will invade. Gives DC a better chance of winning next election.

But its going to be alot harder without air superiority.

If not for the oil this wouldn't be happening.

What's amusing is the Argie prime minister is arguing that the UK is being aggressive and stating 'give peace a chance'. I do believe they're the ones refusing ships flying the falklands flag to land and running around garnering support.

I say we just fooking invade Argentina.

            Then he/she was an idiot!

Hong Kong was a commerce/trade centre and a vital link to China. The Falklands are a territorial statement made by a now dead empire, and no more than a bunch of windswept rocks.

            You can't really compare this . . . .

Too right, see how they like that. Use their own tactics and give 'em something to complain about.

Isn't the logical market driven deficit reducing approach to auction them to the highest bidder? If it goes to a private individual, we can grant independence and they can set up a profit making off shore monkey knife fighting resort.

Can't we sell the Falklands? The UK could do with the cash right now.
