Darren Upton - Mistress update
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think -
Upton's lavish home: But as his wife was looking after his baby daughter, he was carrying on his affair with Victoria using cash from his fraud
-
"She thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with Upton, with plans to ‘retire’ to the Bahamas in October, where he claimed to have a beachside property."
There is the answer to how he thought he was going to get away with it. He was going to jump ship. This is what I thought all along. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment
