Just bought a 3d Smart TV

    New toy! New toy!

Popped out quickly yesterday to buy a Himax Freeview box & 3 hours later - bought a six thousand series Samsung 3d Smart TV, Blu Ray, two freeview players, 4 pairs 3d glasses, wireless dongle, power pack set & some other bits & pieces. Yes aware there are two more models above it but thought i'd start easy.

46'' screen. Plugged my wireless dongle in to it. Connected to my home network. PC shared, now streaming videos in 46'' High Definition.

Can pull up Youtube & browse the internet + lots of apps (CUK is on the Telly! ) and the missus has taken the kids out for the day.

Gonna watch a 3d movies & have a pot noodle for lunch.

    Sweet.

Very nice. How much did that cost?

I had to get a new TV a couple weeks back as my really old 21" crt died. Looked at 32" upwards, from £200 upwards, but they were all really poor image quality.

It came down to two choices, a plasma 43" at £330 with excellent image quality and usb pvr, but nothing special, or for £399 a 3d passive lcd 42" (surprisingly good image for lcd) with loads of connections on the back.

Is yours passive or active 3d MF? We tried active instore (£449 plasma), but really didnt like it, passive was far less annoying on the eyes.

Got a couple of 3d things that we've tried out, but now to get more and also see how well 3d streams through a dedicated streamer that we already have.
