Professional indemnity insurance quotes - indemnity cover

£1m of each for £148.67.

Worth passing on the info in these hard times though I doubt QDOS will thank me.

I would like to quote the old adage when it comes to insurance, you get what you pay for.... but seems I don't know anyone that has ever claimed on PI/PL then I don't really know.

Is it just me that thinks we get taken for a bit of a ride with this?

Not heard of a contractor claiming either but darn glad we had insurance for my pathetic plan B. Some bastard tried to do us for trademark infringement. I knew it was crap but when the other side has a lot more money than you not always easy to fight these things off. Having a solicitor tell them put paid to his efforts a lot quicker.

I work in support but I bet I'm paying the same as someone who writes critical financial software or jet engine fuel managment systems.

I know I don't need it, my client knows too but the stupid agent insists, might as well pay as little as possible for the bit of paper that gets my renewal signed no mater how worthless it is.

Perhaps .... But it is worth it sometimes as especially public bodies like councils sometimes insist on contractors having PL insurance of £1m or over.

Only joking, fair enough if someone's doing it cheaper. I couldn't get that price though - cheapest I got was £224? I must be missing something.

To be fair I stripped everything out except the PI & PL as I don't really need cover other than to get the gig, I know QDOS offer a few extras in their package.
