    Spam lists

Anyone know where I can add an email address to a SPAM list?

I have a client who is going to pay me large somes of money to sort his SPAM problem. So I need to do some testing on an account I've set up.

What do you want to do? In my experience, you either set this up server-side, adding an email addy to a list on whatever antispam solution you have (this blocks email from this address)...or...you do it clientside and set up a whitelist of email addresses for your mail client. Not sure what you are getting at...

Just do it via a subscription to www.spamcop.net, recharged at a suitably eye-watering markup of course.

        Badley written, Sorry.

I want some spam to go to [email protected]

Once I have some Spam going there I can try a few solutions

I might be missing a trick here, but if you sign up to receive spam then isn't it no longer spam?

              LB has a point

I don't know anywhere where you can sign up to this but I can think of a couple of ways:

1 - just stick the email address on the web (here for example, I'm sure someone will spam you).
2 - Put the email address up on a newsgroup.

The way I see it is; if you have to sign this email up to receive spam, then your customer doesn't have a spam problem. If they have a spam problem and your solution is good enough, they will see the results soon enough through their own email addresses...

why not just set up numerous hotmail / yahoo / gmail accounts and use them to send in.

If you have a local SMTP server then use that to send mail.

If the domain is the same as the one as the test spam address then the whole domain will be flooded.

Seems like a very legitimate excuse for surfing porn at work if you ask me...do that for a couple of days and watch the spam roll in...
