Repileaks - should rep be anonymous?

Should rep be anon or should it be open to see who has left rep for who without the need of external plugins?

Just to make it fun, votes are visible!

Also, if we opt for open comments should we reset rep counts for all so old rep is not shown or should all old rep be made visible too?

Anonymous was fun, but could lead to nastiness.

    So visible IMO.

Edit: or turned off completely in favour of the 'like' system.

Thinking you knew who it was when it actually wasn't was even worse! I wonder if anyone genuinely got upset with MF over repileaks-gate?

Yes I think we should all be given a clean slate.

I also think that rep shouldn't be weighted according to one's on rep status.

I got 6 positive reps in a row over the weekend and these were all trashed by one FOAD from ATW who obviously keeps his rep status artificially high by maintaining a fleet of sockies that he uses to give himself positive.

Shouldn't the two who voted anonymous so far be listed as anonymous, anonymous?

The rep is weighted to prevent an army of sockies being used to boost your own rep. It also means that someone like you who is universally ridiculed can't influence people's rep much, which is a good thing.

If it does become anonymous this is just a note to let you know that I will tell anyone who asks, who it was who neg repped them.
