Apple Shares - has anyone invested?

    In today's Times
    http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/busine...cle3378985.ece

The share price has risen by 56 per cent this year to a record $633 ... many analysts believe that its share price will continue to rise ... expected Apple to hit $1,000 a share
Has anyone here invested? When articles like this are published, is conventional wisdom that the general public has missed the boat? Or is it time to jump in?

I would say it's too late. A lot of hedge funds will now look to Short Sell Apple in order to make a few quick quids.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

If rumours of an imminent new iPhone are to believed, it may be worth a short term dabble to take advantage of a rise based upon the hype.

If you want to invest in shares it's best to put together a portfolio rather than responding to a single newspaper report. If you subscribe to an investor rag they'll have loads of recommendations, then you pick 3 or 4 and invest.

Apple will probably go up in the longterm but then there maybe some other better opportunities. It may also crash, or go nowhere. If you invest in 3 or 4 shares probably one of them will do well, one will do badly, one will be lack lustre and one will be OK.
        I'm alright Jack
